Ready to write your Maid of Honor speech but not sure where to start?

With a little help from Vow Muse, writing that speech doesn’t have to be so daunting!

We take you step by step through our tried and true writing process — from brainstorming to writing to editing — so that on the big day you can raise that glass of champagne with confidence as you “cheers”the happy couple!

Learn more about what’s included

In this 40+ page toolkit we’ve covered everything you need to write a thoughtful speech. Plus we’ve included a Word document so that you can start writing quickly and easily.

Brainstorming — Over the past ten years of working with hundreds of clients, we’ve learned what questions generate the best content for writing this speech. We walk you through getting started, getting to the good stuff, and making sure you’re clear what you really want to convey.

Writing — Here’s where our years of experience really come to life. We’ve created two template speeches — one for a sister, one for a friend — for you to customize, personalize, and edit until it’s your speech. You’ll use the material you generated in the brainstorming phase to make sure that you’ve expressed everything you want to about the bride and how lucky her partner is to be marrying her.

Editing — While we wish that the first draft was perfect, there’s usually at least a few minor revisions needed. We walk you through tidying up your speech and making sure that you’ve conveyed the most important sentiments.

Practicing — No matter how perfect your written words are, it’s important to make sure they sound good aloud as well. If you’re a little nervous, first of all you’re in good company (75% of the population gets nervous about public speaking) and second of all, we’ve got you covered. Our simple process for practicing for the big day will have you calm, cool, and collected when it’s time to read your speech in front of the crowd.

Bonuses

While we’ve packed in everything you need to thoughtfully toast the bride, we’ve also included some bonuses to help inspire your writing process. And if you are getting started with just a few days to spare, we’ve included our last-minute guide to writing your speech as well.

Example speeches to inspire — Sometimes it’s nice to see how it all comes together. Which is why we’ve provided a couple examples in case you need a bit more inspiration to get your creative juices flowing. For extra bonus points, we’re also provided more examples on our website, via a hidden page that you can access through the toolkit.

A last-minute guide to writing your speech — If you have days, not weeks, to write this speech, we can still help. If you’re short on time (but not on love) you’re going to want to skip to this section so that you can start writing ASAP. But don’t worry, even on a more compact timeline we’ve got you!

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know this is right for me?

This toolkit is perfect for anyone who wants to write their own speech but needs a little support getting past that glaringly bright blank page. We provide the structure and guidance, you provide all the unique material and personal examples so that your speech is perfect for the big day.

Is this a monthly membership or a one-time purchase?

This is a ONE-time payment — once you purchase, you’ll get full access to the PDF and Word documents, and they’re yours to keep.

When do I get access to the guide?
You'll receive an email immediately after your purchase, giving you the link to download the entire toolkit, complete with 40+ page PDF ebook and Word document.

Is it ok to get help with something so personal?
We think so (and so do these kind folks).

You get help with most everything else for the big day — dress, hair, makeup — so why not get a little support when it comes to the most important part of the day: expressing your love.

What’s the difference between all your toolkits and speeches?

Great question! You might have noticed that we can help you with all the wedding words — the vows, the ceremony, the Best Man speech, and the Maid of Honor speech. The Best Man, Maid of Honor and Vows toolkits walk you through the process of brainstorming, writing, editing, and practicing your own speech or vows using one of the two templates we’ve provided.

Our ceremony toolkit is similar but has one full-length ceremony (about twenty minutes, depending how fast your officiant speaks) with pointers all along the way as to how to customize, personalize, and truly make it your own. We’ve also provided different options for unique add-ons and alternative readings, along with some tips for your officiant.

In addition to our toolkits, we also have our ready-to-go-speeches that, while they have some room for personalization, can also be downloaded, customized, and delivered in the same day if necessary. Though we do recommend you give yourself at least a couple days so you’re familiar with the speech.
